Our Main focus is to serve our Lord by caring for those less fortunate than ourselves. Our God tells us to reach out, share our resources and give the gift of love and hope to our neighbors. We do this by feeding the hungry through our established food pantry. The number and need continues to increase but we believe with the help of God and people and churches in our community, we will be able to continue to serve others who need us.

A CHALLENGE FOR YOU: We are asking you as an individual or as a family to bring each Sunday to church one, just one or more items for the food pantry. What a tremendous help it would be to collect 40-90 items each Sunday. The pantry shelves would be replenished each week and what a bless that would be.

You’re invited by the Bridgeport Christian Friendship Council of Churches to an OPEN HOUSE at the Bridgeport Food Pantry Below St. Anthony’s Church 630 Main St. Bridgeport OH September 28 from 11am to 2pm Enjoy Punch and Cookies with us!

Free Dinners! Bridgeport First Methodist Church-Kirkwood-Last Thursday each month 5-6:30pm; Lansing Methodist Church-Last day of each month 5-6:30pm

There is a constant need for non perishable foods and laundry and cleaning products. Many are in need of assistance and every donation certainly helps us keep the panty stocked. Our thanks to all of you who share your lover for those less fortunate than ourselves, Please make note that there may be an Open House at the food pantry in late September. After church services on Sunday you will be invited to stop in and see our pantry, have punch and cookies and get a better perspective of the workings of our very important community service.

On June 15th an “open house” reception will be held at St. Anthony’s Hall for our long time friend and pantry director Lee Bowman. It is her 90th Birthday!! What a wonderful and dedicated lady she is.
