***Faith Circle will meet the First Tuesday, September 2 at 11:00pm in the fellowship hall.

***Sewing Circle will meet Tuesday, September 9 at 10am in the fellowship hall. .

***Church Council is scheduled to meet Sunday, September 14 after church in the Adult Sunday School Classroom.  

***Board of Parish Education will meet the Sunday, September 28 after church in the Adult Sunday School Classroom.

 ***Brotherhood will meet Thursday, September 18 at 6:30pm*

**Thrivent OH, WV, PA Tri-State Chapter #30763 will meet in September, Please listen for further details in Church. Some wonderful facts and figures for our Matching Fund Project-the YARD Sale held June 6 & 7-$1015.00 will be matched by Thrivent, and even more impressive 21 volunteers put in 205 man hours into the yard sale to make it a success!

***Adult Choir: ATTENTION CHOIR! Vacation is over! Choir practice will begin on September 3 at 7:00pm. This is a perfect time for new singers to come join us. Hope some of you who enjoy singing will be willing to come and sing with us. See you all September 3 at 7:00p.m.-Edie

Mended Hearts will meet Monday, September 8 at 6:30p.m. at the Ohio Valley Medical Center, Nurses Residence Auditorium. For more information contact Mary Maguire 304.242.8727

Harvest Home will be celebrated on September 1 during church. Sunday School/Church Picnic will be 10:45am at Wheeling Park Sunday, September 21.

With Deepest Sympathy we send our thoughts and prayers to the Bob Delman and family on the passing of Helen Delman, Saturday, August 16, 2008.  Helen will be greatly missed in this church family as she was a wonderful Sunday School Teacher, an amazing VBS Director, and truly a great friend.

Congratulations!    To our Academic Excellence!  Audra Vrotsos-St. Clairsville Honor Roll; Congratulations to Julian Funari, who was inducted into the National Honor Roll for  his Academic Achievement during his 2007-2008 school year.

Squeaks from the Church Mouse… www.freerice.com           Tuna Meltaways

1- 7 oz package** StarKist Tuna (I use the Albacore White)

2 cups shredded low fat or fat free cheddar cheese

1/2 cup finely chopped celery

1/2 cup finely chopped onion

1/2 cup shredded carrot

2 tbs. Light or fat free mayonnaise

6 English muffins split

Directions: Heat broiler; in medium bowl combine all ingredients except muffins, mix well. Divide tuna mixture evenly onto muffin halves. Place on broiler

4 to 6 inches from heat 6 to 8 minutes or until lightly brown and bubbly.

Serve warm. (Spray the completed muffin with Pam.It makes it melt better with light or fat free

cheese)** You could drain and use the canned tuna as well.

Two halves is a serving. The calories are going to vary depending on the cheese, tuna and mayo you use.

Just a Reminder…let Penny know of anyone who is hospitalized, sick or shut in, so she can pass this important information on to the right people.  Penny is in the office (635-2472) Monday through Thursday from 9:00am to Noon or you can phone her at home (695-1874).  Don’t forget to check the bulletin board and lost and found box.
